Nurse Bea’s Prescription for Success: Faith, Grit, and a Top 5 PNLE Finish!

PNLE Topnotcher. Ballpoint pen. Prescription

What does it take to turn childhood dreams into reality?

For Bea Sophia B. Ferrer, the answer lies in perseverance, faith, and the unwavering support of loved ones. Against all odds, she has secured a spot among the Top 5 passers in the May 2024 Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination (PNLE)—a feat that once seemed impossible.

A Dream Fueled by Determination

As a young girl, Bea Sophia watched her classmates bask in the glory of academic recognition. Without private tutors or extensive parental guidance due to her mother’s sacrifices to provide for the family, she often wondered if she could ever stand on stage with an award in her hands. But instead of letting circumstances define her, she took the challenge head-on.
Her breakthrough came in Fifth Grade when she finally earned a spot on the honor roll. From that moment, she set a personal vow—to keep striving for excellence, no matter the hardships. This promise became her guiding light throughout high school and beyond.

A Leap of Faith

Taking the PNLE with only two months of preparation, Bea Sophia doubted her chances of passing. At one point, she even considered postponing until November. But she took the first step in faith, inspired by the words of Martin Luther King Jr.: “You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” That step led her to one of the biggest triumphs of her life.

The Pillars of Her Success

Behind every success story is a support system. Bea Sophia attributes her achievement to her greatest prayer warrior—her mother, Mama Emma. Through every challenge, her mother remained her rock, instilling in her the values of resilience and optimism.
She also expressed deep gratitude to her siblings, mentors, professors at PHINMA University of Pangasinan, and the TopRank Review Academy for their guidance and encouragement. Her journey would not have been complete without the invaluable lessons she learned from her first patients, Papa Ostong and Mama Linda, and the spiritual strength she drew from her late father, Papa Boogie.

“This achievement is not just for me,” Bea Sophia shared. “It’s for my family, my mentors, my friends, and above all, for God, who never left my side. I may not always be the best, but I know that determination and faith can turn any dream into reality.”

Congratulations, Bea Sophia Ferrer, RN, Top 5 in the May 2024 PNLE!
