May 2025 Nurse Licensure Exam Results Expected to Be Released on or Before May 14

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) is expected to release the results of the May 2025 Nurse Licensure Examination (NLE) on or before Wednesday, May 14, 2025, or within five (5) working days after the final day of examination.

The licensure exam, held on May 5 and 6, 2025, took place in various testing centers across the country, including Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Zamboanga, and more, and was administered by the Board of Nursing headed by Hon. Elsie A. Tee, along with six other board members.

The May 2025 NLE is the first regular nursing board exam this year and saw thousands of examinees from across the Philippines aspiring to earn their licenses as professional nurses.

Results

What to Expect in the Results

Once released, the PRC will publish the following:

  • Full alphabetical list of passers (A–Z)

  • Top 10 examinees (topnotchers)

  • Top performing schools

  • Performance of all schools

  • Schedule and procedure for initial registration and oathtaking

The announcement will be made available online through PRC’s official website and its licensure portal, online.prc.gov.ph.

Initial Registration and Oathtaking

PRC will also release the schedule for initial registration of successful examinees. Those who pass are required to register online and submit the following:

  • Duly accomplished Oath Form (Panunumpa ng Propesyonal)

  • Notice of Admission (for identification purposes)

  • Two (2) passport-sized photos (white background with full name tag)

  • Two (2) sets of documentary stamps

  • One (1) short brown envelope

The oathtaking ceremony may be held in-person or online. Passers must register online and bring a personalized oath form with a QR code to be tagged for attendance. Those unable to attend physically may opt for virtual or special oathtaking sessions.

Verification of Ratings

All examinees—both successful and unsuccessful—can verify their exam ratings a few days after the results are released via PRC’s online system. Examinees will need to input their application number, full name, date of birth, exam name, and date.

Exam Coverage

The two-day exam assessed competencies across the 11 key areas of responsibility in the Philippine Nursing Competency Standards. These include:

  • Nursing Practice I: Community Health Nursing

  • Nursing Practice II: Care of Healthy/At Risk Mother and Child

  • Nursing Practice III–V: Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alterations (Parts A to C)

Previous NLE Performance

The NLE results from the past two years have shown promising improvements in national passing rates. In the November 2024 NLE, 29,349 out of 34,534 examinees passed (84.99% passing rate). In May 2024, 7,749 out of 11,116 passed, with a top score of 92.60%.
